‘I Wonder If That’s Him’: Former Deputy’s Chance Encounter With Little Boy He Saved

There is no way to know what will happen in the future. One event could change everything that happens in the blink of an eye without any warning.

Life can sometimes be wonderful and happy. On the other hand, life can throw you curveballs.

When a man saw a teenager in a parking lot, he was led to talk to him. He knew that there was something about him that was drawing the man close.

When he finally saw who he was, he was stunned.

Working with veterans on a daily basis in California is something that comes naturally to Chris Thorp.

He is one of the managers of a program in the state that helps veterans with any kind of rehab that they need while also offering them the support that they need to be functional members of society once again.

Chris met his wife after work so that they could go home as he does quite often. He needed to take his wife to pick up her car after it had been repaired.

As Chris was driving through the parking lot, he happened to spot a young man. This wasn’t just any man though.

He had scars on his face from what appeared to be burns that he had received at some time. There was something about the man that made Chris want to learn more.

After taking his wife to the shop so that she could get her car, Chris made the decision to stop and talk to the man who he thought was familiar.

He didn’t know if he was about to make a mistake or not.

Chris hadn’t seen the man in about 13 years. He was only a little boy when the car accident and fire occurred.

Chris asked the man if his name was Christian, and the teenager told him yes.

He then asked a few more questions to confirm whether it was the boy he had seen so many years ago.

Chris then told the teenager that he helped to get him out of the car on the day of the accident.

Chris gave the teenager a medal that he had received for saving the boy’s life.

They are now connected in a way that others sometimes don’t always understand.
