CCTV Captures Kindergarten Teacher Grabbing 6-Year-Old By The Face

Teachers are an integral part of any well functioning society.

They are the ones who guide our children when we are not around, keep them safe and nurtured, and teach them important lessons.

We place so much of our trust in these professionals, but what happens when the people taking on the role of teacher are unqualified to do so?

One family found out the answer to this question in one of the worst possible ways…

When Anthony and Autumn Nelson sent their six-year-old son, Ian, to school that morning, they thought nothing of it.

It was a day just like every other day, and up until that point, their precious little one seemed to be enjoying his first year school.

By the time he came home, though, things had changed – perhaps permanently.

Ian came home noticeably rattled, but when the school called to explain what had happened to him, it didn’t seem like a big deal.

That is, of course, until they realized he had a bruise on his back, and security footage from the school was released and revealed a parent’s worst nightmare…

Barb Williams, a previously trusted and some might go so far as to say adored teacher at Ian’s elementary school, can be seen slamming the little boy into a wall in the footage.

She picks the innocent child up by his face and then again by the collar of his shirt.

Naturally, his parents were outraged, but what made matters worse was the school’s decision to merely suspend her without pay for ten days, after which time she was permitted back in the school, back around children, and back around little Ian himself.

Anthony Nelson, Ian’s father, expressed his outrage and disappointment by saying, “I would consider what would happen to myself, if I were to do that to her…If I were to do that to her, I would go to jail.”

After reaching out to the district, the Nelsons were met with an apology from superintendent, Eric Hoffman, and the school followed up with the local authorities and the Department of Education.

Since then, Williams has resigned.

Hopefully, no other parent or child has to deal with such an abuse of trust and power again in the public school systems.
