teenager blood reverse aging

With a rapidly aging global population, the search for a way to stem back the signs of aging becomes even more of a priority among those with the money for it.

It has led to dozens of research being conducted in the name of improving the quality of life for the elderly, in addition to trying to understand exactly what makes us age, and what we can do to slow it down and perhaps stop it.

This desire is understandable – being mortal creatures, the idea of our inevitable death creeping up on us can be terrifying to some of us, if not all.

The lengths some people seem to be going to in order to stem this inevitable change, however, can come across as concerning to others.

One of these possible solutions being looked at to stem the natural course of aging is using the blood of teenagers via injecting it into oneself.

This, as you can imagine, is as of present, highly controversial, but that isn’t stopping Jesse Karmazin – founder of Ambrosia, a Californian startup company based around this concept.

The entire goal of the company’s business? For $8,000 per 0.66 gallons, you can get yourself a transfusion of blood from youths aged between 16 and 25 years old.

More specifically, you are paying to have the blood plasma from people younger than you transfused into your bloodstream.

This concept may sound absolutely bonkers, but in Karmazin’s defense the service he carries out isn’t entirely scientifically baseless.

In 2005, a group of scientists led by Irina Conboy sewed together the blood circulatory systems of two mice (one older and one younger) via a process called parabiosis.

Of the original 69 subjects, about 11 of them died due to “parabiotic-related diseases” – basically a way to describe a form of body tissue rejection.

The remaining survivors showed remarkably positive effects, but only for the older mice.

Ambrosia is not only offering its clients the chance to tap into this potential fountain of youth but it also – with the acknowledgment of its clients – turned them into study participants for a clinical trial regarding this subject.

Yes, about two hundred people paid $8,000 per injection to be enrolled as study subjects.

As of present, there aren’t any official results for this study. The medical potential that this suggests, however, is irresistible.

Many celebrities are already jumping on the bandwagon, eager to shake off the perils of aging. There are, however, some people who aren’t as comfortable with this idea.

For starters, the ethics involved in such medical procedures have yet to be acknowledged, let alone undergo debate.

Considering that such blood transfusions will involve younger people as a necessary part of the procedure, the rights and safety of the participants involved must be discussed.

On top of all that, there is something from the study that has gone otherwise ignored.

Conboy, who led the research, pointed out that they had later sought to isolate any other possible factors. They did this by exchanging blood and only blood in a later study.

In this study, it was proven that after a month of blood transfusions this way, not only did the older mice show little to no improvement, the health of the younger mice actually declined.

It remains to see just how this all translates to humans, but hopefully, whatever the results are, they will advance medical health.
