Much of sisterhood is rooted in sibling rivalry, but these sisters took family discord to an obscene level after one sister clawed out one of her sister’s eyes.
On Tuesday, April 30, a 66-year-old woman living in Hong Kong was found by police with her left eye gouged out of its socket.
The suspect, her 59-year-old sister, was arrested on the spot.
Though the suspect has a moderate intellectual disability, that doesn’t excuse her malicious actions.
The eldest sister, who’s now partially eyeless, has been disabled the lion’s share of her elderhood. She suffers from spinal disease and fibroma.
Fortunately, the sisters are able to survive due to the middle sister’s income.
Her day job as an office worker allows the three of them to live comfortably in one apartment.
Officers caught wind of the accident after a neighbor alerted authorities following blood-curdling screams.
Given the painful eye extraction the sister was enduring, it’s no wonder her cries were easily heard.
Though the police took the suspect into custody immediately, the reason for her outburst remains unknown.
It’s safe to assume that the girls will no longer be living under the same roof.
